Women in Missions

The Lutheran Women's Missionary League / Lutheran Women in Mission, with a membership of more than 250,000, is the official women's auxiliary of www.lcms.org . For 65+ years, the LWML has been encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to financially support global mission projects.

Our local LWML society, Zion's Lutheran Women in Mission, is dedicated to doing just that.

Zion's Lutheran Women in Mission's main goal is to support missions-both overseas and at home-by telling people about the love of Jesus Christ both in words and actions. This is done with our mite (money) collections and projects such as making quilts for people in need world-wide; also putting together health kits, school kits and sewing kits.

Most recently we made up gift boxes for the many seamen who visit the port of Tacoma. We made care boxes for our servicemen and women and our congregation's college students away from home.  We support several local King County and Pierce County charities and also our Lutheran seminary student and his family.   We look to share the love of Christ with the world.
